ITE.860S Industrial Thermal Acoustic Imager

The ITE.860S is a professional industrial thermal acoustic imager designed for detecting gas leaks, partial discharge, abnormal vibration, mechanical defects, and ultrasonic anomalies across transmission lines, substations, and distribution networks.
With 124 MEMS microphones, wide-area multi-point acoustic detection, and real-time imaging, it provides fast, highly accurate fault localization for utilities, electrical maintenance, industrial plants, and predictive maintenance programs.

Key Features

  • 124 MEMS microphones for high-precision acoustic imaging

  • Gas leak localization & vibration localization

  • Single-hand ergonomic design for flexible field operation

  • 2× zoom to inspect abnormal areas more clearly

  • Real-time display of leak points and vibration hotspots

  • Intelligent software auto-evaluates leak & vibration intensity

  • Ultrasonic + audible detection: 2 kHz – 65 kHz

  • Wide detection distance: 0.3 m – 100 m

  • Photo + video recording for documentation

  • Touchscreen interface (visible on page 1 image)

How It Works / Overview

Why Acoustic Imaging is Necessary

The grid contains many complex components that degrade with age. Failures can cause outages and reduce reliability.
Acoustic imaging visualizes early-stage anomalies before equipment failure.

How the ITE.860S Detects Faults

As electrical equipment deteriorates, abnormal ultrasonic emissions appear.
These anomalies become visible on the imager as bright, focused acoustic clusters.
The imager also features multi-point detection mode to cover hidden or shadowed areas.

Determining Defects

  • Obvious acoustic hotspots = abnormal condition

  • Multiple hotspots = severe defect requiring urgent repair

Simultaneous Multi-Fault Imaging

The device can show multiple partial discharge points, vibration points, and gas leaks at once.

Precautions (Important Operational Notes)

  • Avoid strong external noise to prevent positioning errors

  • Enable multi-point mode

  • Maintain safe distances during live equipment inspection

Visual Examples (Page 2 Images)

Page 2 contains real captured examples:

  • Transmission lines showing PD points (top row)

  • Substations showing leaking bushings & corona discharge (middle row)

  • Distribution lines with multiple hotspots & line defects (bottom row)

These confirm real-world use across HV, MV, and LV environments.
