GM.2000 Surge Wave Fault Pin-Pointer

The GM.2000 Surge Wave Fault Pin-Pointer is a professional instrument designed to precisely locate underground cable faults. By using the principles of vibration pickup and electromagnetic induction, the GM.2000 pinpoints cable fault locations with high accuracy.

When paired with a high-voltage pulse generator, the GM.2000 detects the acoustic, vibration, and electromagnetic signals generated by fault flashover discharges. These signals are then amplified, filtered, displayed, and output to guide technicians directly to the fault point.

This instrument is suitable for low-resistance, short-circuit, open-circuit, disconnection, high-resistance leakage, and high-resistance flashover faults across a wide range of cable types, including power cables, coaxial cables, streetlight cables, and buried wires.
