VLF-60 High Voltage Cable Tester
Download Product Specs
The VLF-60 Cable Insulation Tester is a very low frequency high-potential test system designed for efficient insulation testing and fault detection in medium-voltage cables.
VLF testing applies frequencies between 0.01Hz and 0.1Hz, allowing effective fault detection without damaging cable insulation. Compared to traditional DC testing, VLF testing is non-destructive while still capable of identifying insulation weaknesses and cable defects.
Key Features
• Efficient non-destructive cable withstand testing
• Portable design for field use
• Fully automatic testing cycle
• Automatic cable discharging after test
• Load recognition and breakdown voltage measurement
• Solid insulation system for reduced maintenance
• Integrated touchscreen control interface
• Built-in software – no external PC required
Applications
• Medium voltage cable insulation testing
• Cable fault detection
• Cable commissioning tests
• Cable sheath testing
