SF10.200 Cable Sheath Fault Locator

The SF10.200 is a specialized system for cable sheath testing and fault location on PE/PVC sheaths and shielded plastic-insulated cables. It enables pre-location of sheath faults in medium- and high-voltage cables, as well as line-to-earth faults in low-voltage systems. Pinpointing is performed using the step-voltage method, while its full-wave rectification ensures excellent burndown performance, converting high-resistance sheath faults into low-resistance ones for precise detection.

Key Features

  • Sheath fault pre-location on shielded MV/HV cables

  • Line-to-earth fault pre-location on plastic-insulated LV cables

  • Step-voltage pinpointing with directional probe indication

  • Full-wave rectification for effective burndown of high-resistance faults

  • All-digital automatic testing with no manual balancing required

  • High-accuracy digital processing with sunlight-readable LCD

  • Integrated safety: grounding shutdown, HV zero-start, and HV isolation

  • Lightweight and field-ready system with modular components
