Rycom Pathfinder PLS Locating System

Built with Pathfinder SAF Technology™ at its core, the Pathfinder Precision Locating System from Rycom Instruments, Inc., is ideal for congested locates in crowded easements, long runs of pipe and cable, as well as basic service drops. This simple, accurate and affordable locator is designed for those committed to protecting buried infrastructure.


Engineered with our signature FrequencyFlex™, the Pathfinder Precision Locating System allows users to adapt the available frequencies to their specific needs. Frequencies can be added or deleted on demand to suit the user’s locating needs.


Our innovative PathLink™ technology* creates a remote link between the transmitter and receiver. Users can now control the transmitter’s output power and frequency from right from the hand-held receiver,
eliminating the back and forth walking between devices. (*optional)


A large, high-contrast LCD offers clearly visible signal response in any lighting. Automatic depth, automatic current, and proximal directional arrows are readable in the brightest sunshine or backlit for viewing in
dimmer conditions.


Whether the locate is measured in feet or miles, 10 watts of power and automatic impedance matching from 5 ohm to 25,000 ohms, ensures adequate signal application. The Pathfinder Precision Locating System is a must have for any damage prevention specialist.

Path Traq Locate Logging System

Built on a proven design, and with Pathfinder SAF Technology™ at its core, the Pathfinder PLS® offers RYCOM’s most advanced signal acquisition and filtering technology. The Pathfinder PLS® cable & pipe locator offers utility locators FrequencyFlex™ allowing users to adapt the system to their specific needs. Multiple active frequencies allow the user to accurately locate with a minimum of interference while maintaining the ability continue locating past faults and around conduit bends. Passive frequencies identify "live" and charged lines by their naturally occurring electromagnetic fields. The Pathfinder PLS® offers multiple passive frequencies -- 50Hz, 60Hz, Radio Frequency, Cathodic Protection Rectifier & CATV -- allowing line locating without the use of a transmitter.
