GM.1000 Surge Wave Fault Pin-Pointer
The GM.1000 Surge Wave Fault Pin-Pointer is a professional underground cable fault locator that uses vibration pickup and electromagnetic induction to determine the exact position of cable faults.
When a connected high-voltage pulse generator causes a flashover discharge at the fault point, the GM.1000 detects the resulting vibration, sound, and electromagnetic waves. These signals are captured by a specialized probe, amplified, processed, and displayed for precise analysis.
This instrument allows technicians to determine the fault location both visually and acoustically, ensuring pinpoint accuracy. It is highly effective for low-resistance, short-circuit, open-circuit, disconnection, and high-resistance leakage faults across a wide range of cables, including power cables, coaxial cables, streetlight cables, and buried wires.
