CFL PL4+ Cable Fault Prelocator (Advanced Series)

The CFL PL4 is an advanced portable cable fault prelocator designed for fast and accurate fault distance measurement on LV and MV power cables. It combines Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), Surge Impulse (SIM), and Arc Reflection (ARM) methods to locate high-resistance and intermittent faults with precision. The system offers multiple waveform storage, automatic impedance matching, and full PC connectivity for trace analysis and reporting.

Key Features

  • Measures open, short, high resistance & intermittent faults

  • Supports TDR, SIM, ARM, and MIM techniques

  • Measurement range up to 64 km with 0.1 m resolution

  • High sampling rate for accurate trace display

  • Dual-trace comparison with zoom, shift, and cursor functions

  • Built-in auto-impedance matching for different cables

  • Cable library for VOP settings and user storage

  • Internal battery and mains operation

  • USB & RS-232 data interfaces for PC connection
